About Us

The Drake House was founded by the 2004 Leadership North Fulton Class. The mission is to provide short-term crisis housing, education and empowerment programs for homeless single mothers and their children in North Fulton County, designed to provide stability for the children and assist the family in working toward self-sufficiency. The Drake House is the only agency in the area offering an emergency residential program, serving approximately 50 families with 100 children per year.

The Drake House is dedicated to helping homeless mothers and their children realize these overall goals:

• Allowing the family to remain intact while working to achieve housing stability

• Keeping the family in their own community and the children enrolled in their current school

• Increasing skill levels and incomes by identifying and developing talents

• Establishing influence over decisions affecting family lives
